I have built a Tablepress Table in the back end of two of my websites and am in the process of building it in two more websites. I am unable to get the Tablepress Table to transfer to the main page of the website. I have tried many different options and none of them have worked. I am looking for some help as to how to fix this problem as I am not sure what to do next. Please let me know when you can if you can provide me with any assistance. Thanks, Steve.November 26, 2019 at 2:05 pm #147
Hi Steve. Thank you for posting your question on Word’Dev. I’m Nabil, the WordPress Developer.
You can embed (inject) TablePress tables anywhere you want (pages, posts, WooCommerce product pages, text widgets, etc) using the
[table id=TABLE_ID]shortcode. Replace
TABLE_IDwith the actual table post id. Or you can copy the shortcode altogether from the table editing page.
I installed TablesPress and recorded a video showing how you can embed the table in a page, here’s the video:November 26, 2019 at 6:08 pm #190
Subscriptions were not working earlier today, so you may have missed my previous reply.December 6, 2019 at 10:42 pm #205Steve HiegelGuest
Thanks for your help. I really appreciate it. I used the shortcode above and it works. I have a few more questions. What is the best way to display a Tablepress Table on the main page of a website? I tried using a Post to display a Tablepress Table and it didn’t look that great. I now have figured out how to get the Tablepress Table on the main page of my websites thanks to your help but what should I use to display it so it looks the best and is easiest to navigate on a website. Should I use a Page, Post, Text Widget, etc.? I just want to know what is the best option for displaying a Tablepress Table on the main page of the website. Please let me know when you can. I appreciate all your help. Thanks again, Steve.December 8, 2019 at 2:22 pm #206
You’re most welcome!
Since you want to show the table on the homepage only, we’ll rule out using a post or a widget.
Besides, if you want to change the table look, you can use custom CSS code. There is a “Custom CSS” field on the “Plugin Options” page.December 8, 2019 at 10:06 pm #207Steve HiegelGuest
Okay. Thanks for the information. I really appreciate it. I still can’t get a Tablepress Table to transfer from my Dashboard to the main page of the website properly. Is there something specific I need to do to make this happen? Do you have a Youtube video showing how to transfer the Table to main page of the website? Thanks, Steve.December 9, 2019 at 2:25 pm #208
Hey Steve! It seems something on your website is preventing the table from displaying correctly. It could be a theme issue, a plugin conflict, etc.
I can review your website and troubleshoot this issue for you. I can also make a video explaining what was causing the issue and how I’m able to fix it.
This falls outside of the free support I’m offering on these forums though. So if you want to hire me to look into this issue for you, make a new project on Codeable (this is a direct link where you can make a project and assign it to me, no payment till we have an agreement).
